The Sturgeon keeper season is on January first and then only runs until the quota is caught. Sturgeon are an amazing prehistoric looking fish that grow to unbelievable lengths. We do a lot of catch and release trips for Sturgeon and they give you the fight of your life, reeling to the boat any length from two feet to 17 feet. We anchor in river during the summer and fish with herring, squid and shad for bait.
